& that my friends, is what I've learned....
In the past few years, my life did a complete 180. I was somewhat lethargically strolling along & was suddenly put into a 1/2 nelson! After that, I felt as if I were walking through a foggy, mysterious forest. All the while, I was looking to my faith & finding rays of sunshine amidst that thick fog. With God's mercy, I reached the sunny, warm, yet cool, open meadow in a short matter of time and slowly but surely found my own peace. I decidedly resided there pleasantly. Yet, all the while, waiting to be thrust into something worthwhile & full of substance. Just as I was breathing fully & smiling contently, I was thrust into someone worthwhile & full of substance. It was also during this period I discovered my true calling. It was spring in my life & everything was full of possibility! My life hasn't been the same since. My breaths & my smiles are now more expansive & full than I knew possible...
I feel like I could write a book about the past few years, but it would only collect dust atop some old bookshelf, while a few passers-by read the quick, anterior description, only to inwardly say, yep, I lived through something like that too. Our own twists & turns seem so unique, & it's hardly conceivable anyone else has experienced anything remotely similar. However, in the end, the incidents, accidents, & pure coincidences (which I don't exactly believe in) are all as old as time. The characters & circumstances may change, but someone, somewhere, has been exactly where you are at some point. . . & that someone could tell you, whether it's good or bad, it won't last forever. It's only a matter of time until a new season is upon your life. That's why I intend to relish in every sweet moment of the present. Soaking it in, breath by breath!
At this point, this moment right now, right here, in 2011, it is my greatest hope that everyone will at some point experience exactly what I am. Pure joy! A sense of security like I've never felt before. A strength only attrituable to a gift from above.
It's beautiful.
It tastes so sweet.
Coupled with my faith, the security of an amazing partner has given me a new sense of peace and assurance. Like any person in my position, I naturally want to blog about it!
So, hello again, blogger world- let's share our joys, our triumphs & celebrations, even our bumpy moments & strive to inspire each other along the way.........
My name is Jaime. . . & that's soon to be a Mrs.
